Advantech Info Inc. is based in Flat No- 1 in Rishiji Market. It’s a bit unusual to be working out of a market flat, but it actually works out quite well for us. There’s always plenty of energy around because of the shops and the people coming and going. We handle information and tech tasks from this small space. It’s not a huge office, just a few rooms converted for our use. We have our computers set up where the living area would have been, and we use the other rooms for storage and a small break area. Being in Rishiji Market means we are never far from anything we need, whether it’s office supplies or a quick meal. The atmosphere is very informal. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. People just knock on the door of Flat No- 1 and come in. We spend our days mostly on the phones or typing away. It’s a very direct way of working. We don't have many layers of management; if something needs doing, one of us just does it. We’ve been here for a while and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the market outside. It’s just part of our daily life now. We aren't some big tech giant, just a small operation doing our best from a flat in the market. It’s an honest way to earn a living and we like the independence it gives us.
