Our place is at 49 Sector 6, right on the Main Street. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a bit of heat and noise coming from the workshops around here. Forging is tough work. You get used to the smell of hot metal and the sound of hammers hitting steel. We’ve been at this for a long time. The building itself is sturdy, though the gate squeaks a bit when you open it. We don’t mind. Inside, it’s all about the metal. We have machines that have been with us since the beginning. They might look old, but they get the job done better than some of the newer stuff we’ve seen. People come to us when they need something forged right. We don’t do a lot of talking; we just get to work. Sector 6 is a busy place, especially in the afternoons when the trucks are moving in and out. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, but we just sweep it out and keep going. We have a small crew, mostly guys who have been doing this their whole lives. We eat lunch together in the small break room at the back. It’s a simple life. We don't have fancy brochures or a front desk person. If you walk in, you’ll probably find one of us covered in soot or grease. That’s just the nature of the job. It’s real work for real people. We take things as they come and focus on the steel.
