Pulickattil Handicrafts

We are located right along the NH 47 road in Palarivattom. A good way to find us is to look for Kochi Metro Pillar number 524. We’ve been surrounded by all the construction and the new metro for years. The shop is full of various handicrafts that we’ve collected and put on display. It’s not a big department store. It’s more of a crowded, cozy place where you can find interesting things made by hand. We like the smell of wood and the feel of traditional items in the shop. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the items on the shelves, but we try to keep it tidy enough for visitors. Most people who come in are just looking for something unique for their home. We don't do much advertising. People usually see our sign while they are stuck in traffic or walking to the metro station. We started this because we have a lot of respect for traditional crafts. It’s a simple business. We spend our days chatting with customers and dusting off the stock. The road outside is always loud with buses and cars, but inside it’s a bit calmer. We aren't looking to expand into a giant chain of stores. We just like having this one spot in Ernakulam where people can see these things. It’s just us here, keeping the shop open every day for whoever stops by.
