Shree Jayalakshmi Exports

Our office is located at 24/175 on Kpk Menon Road, over on W/Island. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but being near the water has its own charm. The building is simple and doesn’t stand out much. Shree Jayalakshmi Exports has been here for a good number of years. Inside, it’s mostly just a lot of paperwork and boxes. Since we handle exports, there is always something being packed or unpacked. The floor is concrete and the desks are wooden and heavy. It’s a sturdy place. We don’t have any of those modern glass walls or fancy breakrooms. We just have a small area where we keep the kettle and some biscuits. The air smells a bit like the sea and old paper. Our day starts when the sun comes up and we usually stay until the last container is sorted. It’s hard work, but we are used to it. The road outside gets busy with trucks, so it’s never really quiet. We’ve made some good friends with the other businesses around here. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated systems. Writing things down and making sure they get done is our way. It’s a very hands-on way of doing business, which is how we like it. We focus on the work and keep things moving every single day. We stay here and get on with it.
