Mangattoor Primary School

Over in Kolenchery, on the Peruvamoozhi Mazhuvanoor Road, sits Mangattoor Primary School. It is a quiet part of Ernakulam, which is good for the younger kids who come here. The address is 682311 if you are checking the mail. The school isn't very large, just a few rooms and a small area for playing. We have some old swings out back that the children love. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the trucks go by, but inside it is mostly just the sound of pencils on paper. Being a primary school, everything is scaled down for the little ones. The walls have some old drawings taped to them. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It's just a few of us making sure things stay on track. The roof is made of tiles and sometimes we have to fix a few after a heavy storm. People in the village know us well. It is the kind of place where you stop to talk to the neighbors at the gate. Kolenchery is a nice community and we are glad to be part of it on this specific road. The kids usually walk or come on small buses. Lunchtime is the loudest part of the day, as you can imagine. We just provide a space for them to be kids while they are here. It's simple and it works for us.
