Microtech

Microtech is based in the Taj Building in Sakchi, right here in Jamshedpur. We are on the ground floor, which is pretty convenient. Most people know the area because we’re near the Aam Bagan Masjid. It’s a lively spot with a lot of noise and people moving about. We handle a lot of different electronic repairs and hardware sales. If something is broken, people usually bring it to us to see if it can be saved. The shop isn't very big, and it’s often filled with the smell of solder and old electronics. We’ve got shelves full of spare parts that we’ve collected over the years. It’s a bit messy, but that’s how we like it. We don’t really bother with fancy displays or anything like that. We just have our workbenches and our tools. Sometimes the heat in Jamshedpur gets to be a bit much, but we have a couple of fans that keep things moving. We’ve been part of the Sakchi market for a long time, so we know most of the shopkeepers around here. It’s a nice little community. People drop in for a chat or to ask for advice on some gadget they bought. We just take it one day at a time, fixing what we can and helping out where it’s needed. The masjid nearby is a good landmark for anyone trying to find our door.
