La-I-Jong Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in Pahamsning village. We are right across from the Nongkhrah Nonglyngdoh Secondary School. You can usually hear the kids during the day while we are working. It’s a local spot in the Nongkhrah area where we handle all the business for our farming group. We aren't a big corporation; we are just a bunch of neighbors working together. The office is just a simple building where we store our documents and meet to plan the next harvest. Being near the school makes it easy for people to find us. We spend a lot of time discussing how to improve our yields and what the local market is looking for. In Pahamsning, everyone is involved in agriculture in one way or another. We decided that forming a producer company was the best way to help each other out. It involves a lot of meetings and sometimes a bit of arguing over the best way to do things, but that’s just how it goes.
