Swadesi Aahar

Swadesi Aahar is located right in the heart of Madhu Vihar Market. If you walk down Street 15, you'll find us at C-44. It is a busy part of East Delhi, and there is always something happening outside our door. We deal with food products, mostly things that people use in their kitchens every day. The business started out as a small family project and grew into what it is today. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers making sure the shelves are stocked and the orders are ready for pickup. Sometimes the market gets so crowded that it's hard to move, but that's just life in Patparganj. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking the quality of the grains and spices we get. It isn't always perfect, and sometimes we have to send things back if they aren't right. We don't use any fancy talk to describe what we do. We just sell food. The office is small and usually smells like whatever we are packing that day. We like being part of the IP Extension community. Most of our customers are people who live just a few blocks away. We keep our notes in simple notebooks and try to treat everyone who walks in like a neighbor. It's a decent way to earn a living.
