Sushma Bhalla

The office for Sushma Bhalla is tucked away in Mayur Vihar, at Acharya Niketan A-1. It is a very lively neighborhood with a lot of shops and people walking around at all hours. We have been at this location for a long time. It is not a big company with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us working together in a small space. The office is filled with old books and folders. It has a very personal feel to it, not like those cold, modern offices you see in the city center. We do not have any big signs or bright lights. Most people know us just by the name on the door. Sushma is usually the first one in and the last one to leave. We spend our days answering letters and taking care of the paperwork that piles up. There is a small window that lets in some light, but mostly we rely on the overhead lamps. The furniture is a bit old and the chairs squeak sometimes, but they are comfortable enough for a full day of work. We do not have a lot of formal meetings. We just talk across the desks when something needs to get done. It is a very simple and honest way to work. We do not go in for any of that corporate talk. We just focus on being helpful to whoever walks through the door. It is a quiet little corner in a busy part of Delhi.
