About Store Keeper – Fashion & Trends in East Delhi
Up here in Bhagavath Nagar at F-115, things stay fairly steady. I run Store Keeper near the Maharani Bhag Ashram area in New Delhi. It’s a spot that sees a lot of different faces every day. My morning starts with the heavy shutter and the smell of the street waking up. I spend a lot of my time just staring at shelves, trying to figure out how to fit one more crate into a space that’s already full. It’s like a puzzle that never ends. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it’s boiling outside, which is nice. I’ve got an old chair that squeaks every time I sit down to do the ledger. Most of my day is just checking boxes, signing for deliveries, and making sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle. Sometimes I lose my pen and spend ten minutes looking for it under a stack of papers. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. I usually have some dust on my shirt by the time I head home. The locals know where I am if they need something. It’s a plain place, nothing fancy to look at, just lots of stuff stacked up high. I’ve lived in Delhi my whole life, so the noise doesn't bother me much anymore. I just focus on the task in front of me and try to keep the shop in some kind of order before the next truck arrives later tonight.
