Sri Shyam Fashion Textiles Private Limited

Our place, Sri Shyam Fashion Textiles Private Limited, is right on the Main Road in Kailash Nagar, part of the Gandhi Nagar area. It’s a very busy street, always full of rickshaws and people moving goods. We have been at No. 9/6 for quite some time now. The building is older, but it serves us well. We deal with a lot of textiles, so there are huge rolls of fabric stacked up against almost every wall. It smells like new cloth in here. My father used to work in textiles too, so it’s a trade I grew up with. We have a small team, and everyone knows their job. Some handle the loading, others check the quality of the weave. Gandhi Nagar is the heart of the garment trade, so we are right in the middle of everything. It’s dusty and loud outside, but inside we just focus on the orders. We drink a lot of chai to keep going. We don't have a polished front desk or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll probably see me or one of the guys moving boxes. We just want to get the fabric out to the shops on time. It’s a lot of physical labor, and my back hurts by Friday, but that’s the nature of the textile business here. We just keep our heads down and get the work done daily.
