Smart Hire - Times Group

We are tucked away in Akriti Apartment, which is over at Plot No. 62 in I.P. Extension. Our office is in Flat No. 9. Patparganj is a busy part of East Delhi, but once you get inside the apartment complex, it’s actually quite peaceful. Smart Hire is part of the Times Group, but this particular office doesn't feel like a big media giant. It feels more like a small neighborhood workspace. We have a few rooms dedicated to interviewing people and sorting through resumes. It’s a lot of sitting in front of monitors and making phone calls all day long. The building is older, so it has that lived-in feel which we actually prefer over those cold, modern glass buildings. We have our routines, like who makes the first round of tea and who has to deal with the courier guys. Working in 110092 means we see a lot of local people looking for opportunities. We don't have any big corporate manifestos or anything like that. We just focus on the task at hand, which is usually finding the right person for a specific role. Sometimes we get bogged down in emails, but we try to keep things moving. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a regular electric kettle. We like it this way because it’s real and it keeps us focused on the work rather than the perks of a big office.
