Shri Ram Bartan Stores

Walking into Shri Ram Bartan Stores in Huda Market, Sector 40, you’ll see stacks of steel and brass everywhere. It’s a lot to look at, honestly. We’ve got pots and pans piled up nearly to the ceiling. Most days it’s pretty loud with the sound of metal clinking together when we move things around for a customer. Sector 43 is right nearby, so we get people from all over Gurgaon popping in. Some days it is just regular house stuff people want, like a new tawa or some spoons because they lost their old ones. We have been in this spot for a while now. The floor is a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day, but that’s okay. It shows we’ve been busy. We don’t really have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. If you’re looking for something specific, it might take us a minute to find it in the back, but we usually have it somewhere. The market gets really crowded in the evenings, so we usually try to get the heavy lifting done in the morning when it's cooler. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; we still do a lot of things the old way. It works for us and the people who shop here. It’s just a normal shop doing normal business every day. There is no big mystery to it, just keeping folks equipped for their kitchens.
