Sailendra Sahoo

I’m Sailendra Sahoo and I’ve got my setup at M-161 in Jagatram Park. This is in the Laxmi Nagar area of Delhi, pin code 110092. If you know Laxmi Nagar, you know it’s one of the busiest places in East Delhi. There are people everywhere and the markets are always full. My office is in a narrow building among many others. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs to get to us. The room is small and we’ve had to fit a lot of stuff into it. We have a couple of desks pushed against the walls to make space for people to walk through. It gets a bit hot in the summer, even with the fan going full blast. We’ve been here for a few years now. It’s a good location because it’s so central, even if the traffic is a nightmare most days. I spend a lot of time talking to people who come by with questions. It’s not a formal environment. We sit around, drink tea, and talk about the work. There’s always noise from the street below—rickshaws, vendors, and cars. You just learn to talk over it. We don't have a big team, just a few of us trying to make things work in this little corner of Delhi. It’s a bit messy and crowded, but we like it this way. It feels real and busy, which keeps us going through the long afternoons.
