Sai Cosmetics & General Store

Sai Cosmetics & General Store is on the ground floor of K-15 in New Govind Pura Extension. We are right opposite the Mata Mandir, which means we get a lot of people coming in after they visit the temple. It’s a busy part of Krishna Nagar and there is always something going on outside. We carry a mix of things, from bindis and bangles to soaps and basic groceries. The shop is Shop No-1, so we are right at the front where everyone can see us. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself and be close to home. It isn’t a very large store, but we manage to fit quite a bit of stock onto the wooden shelves. The ladies from the neighborhood often come in to look at the new cosmetic items or just to pick up some household stuff. We try to keep things tidy, though it’s hard when new boxes arrive and we have to find a place for them. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and we don't rush anyone. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a handheld fan, but that’s just how it is in Delhi. We are just a local shop trying to provide what people need nearby. It’s a simple business and we like the direct contact we have with our customers every day. No big corporate rules here, just us and the shop and the people from the colony.
