Program Leader

You can find us at 21 M in the DDA Flats of Pocket II, over in Mayur Vihar Phase III. This part of New Delhi, specifically New Kondli, is always full of energy and people. Program Leader is tucked away in one of these residential blocks, and it feels a lot more like a home than a corporate headquarters. The stairs leading up to our unit are a bit worn down, and the paint on the door is peeling in a few spots. Inside, we have our desks pushed up against the walls to make as much room as possible. It is a bit of a tight fit when everyone is here, but we make it work. We don't have a big budget for decorations, so the walls are mostly bare except for a few notes we’ve taped up. The noise from the street below—honking cars and people talking—is just part of the background music we work to every day. We drink a lot of tea and usually order lunch from a small place just around the corner. We don't have a mission or a fancy philosophy we tell people about. We just sit down, open our laptops, and handle the work that needs doing. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power flickers, but that is just part of living and working in Delhi. It is a very straightforward, no-frills kind of existence here in Mayur Vihar.
