Metal Kraft

Metal Kraft is situated in a busy part of the city, with our main presence at 44-A, Gali No. 7, Anand Parbat. It’s an industrial area, so the air is often filled with the sound of machinery and the smell of metal and oil. We also have a connection to 69-A Vijay Block in Laxmi Nagar, so we’re often moving between these different points. The Anand Parbat space is where the real grit of the work happens. The floors are concrete and have their share of stains and scratches from years of heavy use. It’s not a place for white shirts or fancy shoes; we’re usually in practical clothes that can handle a bit of dirt. The galis here are narrow, and you have to be careful when a truck is trying to squeeze through. Inside our unit, tools are hung up on pegboards, and there are metal scraps in bins near the entrance. It gets quite hot in the summer months, so we have a few large pedestal fans that move the air around, though they’re quite noisy. We don't have a formal meeting room, so if we need to discuss something, we just stand around the main workbench or pull up a couple of plastic stools. It’s a hardworking environment where the focus is purely on the physical tasks at hand. It might look chaotic to someone visiting, but we have our own system for finding everything we need in the middle of the day.
