Meatmytreat Gourmet Foods Private Limited is right in the middle of all that action. If you’ve ever been to the market, you know it’s loud, it’s busy, and it’s very real. We deal with fresh stuff every single day, so there is no time to sit around. Our space is functional—lots of washable surfaces and cooling equipment that hums all day long. We spend a lot of time checking the cuts and making sure the temperature is exactly where it needs to be. It’s hard work, and your hands are always cold, but someone has to do it. The market has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over the years. We aren't chefs in white hats; we are the people who make sure the food is ready for the kitchen. Most of us have been working with this stuff for a long time, so we know what looks right and what doesn’t. It gets hectic around mid-morning when everyone is trying to get their orders filled at once. We just focus on the task at hand, keep our heads down, and try to get the deliveries out on time. It’s a grit-and-grind kind of job, but we take it seriously because people are eating what we handle. We just finish up, clean the floor, and get ready for the next day.
