Klub Klass Apparels is tucked away in Nehru Gali, which is one of the narrow lanes in Gandhi Nagar. Our address is IX-6627. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't local. The lane is always crowded with carts and bikes. Inside, it’s a different world. We make all sorts of clothes here. We have rows of sewing machines and the sound is constant. It’s a bit like a heartbeat for the building. We don’t have much space for a lounge or anything fancy. Every inch is used for cutting tables or storage. The guys working here have been friends for years. We share jokes while we work to make the hours go by faster. In the summer, it gets really hot, so we have the big industrial fans going full blast. We mostly do wholesale work. Sometimes things go wrong, a machine breaks or a fabric shipment is late, and we just have to figure it out. We aren't some big brand with a logo on every wall. We’re just a group of people making clothes in a small alley in Delhi. We take pride in the fact that our stuff is sewn strong. That’s the most important thing to us at the end of the day. There is no corporate ladder here, just people working together to finish the boxes before the sun goes down.
