Iris Overseas is located at 1/50, Lalita Park in Laxmi Nagar. If you’ve ever been to Laxmi Nagar, you know it is always crowded and the streets are quite narrow. Our office is in a residential-looking building but we have been operating out of here for some time. We deal with overseas trading and logistics. This means we are often working odd hours to match the time zones in other countries. The office has a few computers that are always running and there are maps on the wall. It’s a simple place with a few desks and some chairs for when people visit. We handle a lot of paperwork and digital files every day. It’s not the most exciting work but it’s what we know. The noise from the street can be a bit much during the day but it settles down in the evening. We don't have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to see who it is. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the files pile up on the desks. We are just a group of people working together to make sure the exports and imports go smoothly. It’s a lot of coordination and staying on the phone with shipping agents and suppliers.
