Idyam Fashion Private Limited is based up on the fourth floor at B-1/265 in Gali Number 8. We are over in New Ashok Nagar, not too far from the Durga Mandir. Being on the fourth floor means we have to climb a lot of stairs every single day, which is definitely a workout. Downstairs in the lane, it is always crowded with bikes and people going to the temple or the local shops. Our work is all about fashion and getting garments ready. We have a few sewing machines and cutting tables squeezed into our space. It gets pretty warm up here in the summer, even with the fans going full blast. We are a small team and most of us have been working together for quite a while now. We don't do any big advertising or have a website with professional photos. We just rely on people knowing our work and coming back to Gali Number 8 when they need something done. New Ashok Nagar is a tight-knit place and we feel like part of the neighborhood. We handle the fabrics, check the stitching, and pack everything up ourselves. It is basic, honest work. Sometimes the rain makes the street messy or the power goes out for an hour, but we just wait it out and get back to the sewing. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the clothes look right before they leave our fourth-floor room.
