We are over at 10 Lakshmi Nagar in the Lalita Park area. It’s a very tight-knit part of Delhi. Guru Nanak Property Dealers is the name on the board outside. The streets here are narrow, so if you’re coming by car, it’s a bit of a struggle. Most people just walk or take a rickshaw. Lalita Park is always full of life, especially in the evenings when the street lights come on. Our office is quite humble. We’ve got some old plastic chairs and a desk that’s seen better days. There’s a tea stall just two doors down, so we drink a lot of chai throughout the day. The walls at number 10 are painted a light yellow, though they could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon. We’ve known the neighbors for years. Guru Nanak Property Dealers is just a part of the local scenery now. We don’t use any of those big corporate words or complicated systems. Everything is written down in registers. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the right page for someone. Lakshmi Nagar is a busy place to live and work, but we’re used to the chaos. When it rains, the water collects a bit near the entrance, so we keep a mop handy. It’s just us doing our work in this corner of Lalita Park. No fuss, just a regular day at the shop for us.
