Garg Bartan Store

My family has been running Garg Bartan Store for a while. We are located at 425 in the Chotta Bazar area of Defence Enclave. It is a small shop packed with all kinds of stainless steel pots, pans, and everyday kitchen things. If you come inside, you will see stacks of plates and bowls reaching up to the ceiling. It can be a bit crowded, especially on weekends when everyone is out shopping for their homes. We spend most of our time helping people find the right size pressure cooker or a sturdy tawa. It is not a shiny showroom, just a regular place where people come to buy things they actually need for cooking. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit, but we are used to it. My father started this, and now I help out too. We know most of the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around here. The street outside is narrow, so it gets noisy with all the rickshaws and people walking by. We keep a couple of stools for customers who want to sit while we pack their items in newspaper. It is simple work, really. Every morning we sweep the front and open up. It’s a quiet life until the afternoon rush starts. The floor is concrete and a bit uneven, but it holds the weight of all the metal. We don't bother with fancy displays. People just ask for what they need and we pull it from the back.
