Ishika Garments

Ishika Garments is over at No. 9/6539 Nehru Gali in Gandhi Nagar. This part of the city is always packed with people looking for clothes and fabric. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We have rolls of cloth and finished garments stacked up almost to the ceiling. It is a tight squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of work going on. There isn't any air conditioning, so we keep the doors open and let the street noise in. We don't have a fancy brand name or a marketing strategy. We just make clothes and sell them. The people who work here have been doing this for years, so we don't need to talk much to get the job done. Nehru Gali is a famous spot for this kind of work. We see all sorts of people coming through the lane. Some days are stressful when there is a big deadline, but we just put our heads down and sew. We don't have a website or anything like that. If people want to find us, they just come to Gandhi Nagar and ask around. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most famous. We are just trying to do our work well enough to keep the shop running. It’s a simple life for us. We take things as they come and try to stay busy. There is always a lot to do before we can close up the shutters and head home for the evening.
