Avhipriye Fashion

The shop is tucked away in Newchand Mohalla, which is a bit of a maze if you aren't from around here. We call it Avhipriye Fashion, and it's basically where we spend twelve hours a day, every day except Sunday. Our address is X-1050, and it’s a tight space filled with stacks of finished garments and half-sewn pieces. Gandhi Nagar is always loud, and our little corner is no different. You can hear the sewing machines humming from the back room while customers look through the latest samples we've put out. It’s mostly family running things. My cousin handles the accounts on a dusty old desk, and I usually talk to the people coming in. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one that's faded a bit over the years. Some days it’s so crowded in the mohalla that you can’t even move a bike through. We deal with all kinds of fashion items, mostly stuff for the local markets. It’s hard work, and the lights sometimes flicker when the grid is overloaded. We drink a lot of chai to keep going. We don't really have a big story to tell. We just wanted a place to work for ourselves and this spot in Newchand Mohalla was available back then. It’s dusty and the walls could use a new coat of paint, but it’s ours and we know exactly where everything is kept, even in the dark.
