Being based in Preet Vihar at G-114 on the ground floor means we are right in the middle of things in East Delhi. Fresh Marine Foods Private Limited is where we spend our mornings and evenings. Dealing with marine food means things have to move fast. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything coming from the coast. Our space here isn’t huge but we make it work for what we need to do. The ground floor is handy because we don’t have to lug heavy crates up any stairs. Preet Vihar is a crowded spot so there is always traffic and people around. We mostly just focus on getting the food sorted and sent out to wherever it’s going. The air sometimes smells like the ocean which is funny because we are right here in the city. We have a small team and everyone just knows their job. It’s not like those big corporate places with HR departments and fancy lounges. We just have our desks and the storage areas. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets blocked by a delivery truck but we just deal with it. It’s a practical way to run a business. We’ve been at this address for a while and the locals know us. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the marine products day in and day out. It is a long day every day but we like the routine.
