Fashion International

Down at C 87 in the Patparganj Industrial Area, you can find Fashion International. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't familiar with the grid system here. The industrial area is a sea of similar-looking buildings, but we’ve made this one our home for years. It’s a working environment, plain and simple. We have sewing machines, large cutting tables, and stacks of shipping boxes waiting to be picked up. The air is always a little thick with the smell of new fabric and machine oil. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or art for the walls. We’d rather spend it on keeping the equipment running well. The staff here is like a small family. We know who likes their tea with extra sugar and who prefers to work in silence. It can get pretty frantic when a big shipment is due, and we all end up staying late to make sure everything is packed correctly. Patparganj can be a bit overwhelming with all the industrial activity, but C 87 is our little corner of it. We have a small courtyard where we sometimes sit during the cooler months. The walls are covered in old clipboards with production schedules that are usually a few days behind. We try to stay on top of things, but in this business, something always goes wrong, like a thread color not matching or a machine part breaking down. We don't have a fancy website with professional photos, we just do the work.
