Elegance Beauty Salon is just down in the basement at B 254 in Surajmal Vihar. If you are walking around Anand Vihar, you might miss the stairs if you aren't looking for them. We have been here in this part of Delhi for quite some time now. It’s not a huge place, just a few chairs and mirrors, but it works for us and the people who live nearby. Most days it is just the sound of scissors and the fan going overhead. We don't have fancy lights or anything like that. People from the colony come in, sit down, tell us what they want, and we get to it. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on weekends, especially when everyone wants a trim at the same time. You’ll see the sign outside near the gate. We keep things pretty simple here. It’s just about getting the job done without too much fuss. The basement stays cool in the summer which is nice when it’s hot outside on the street. We know most of the faces that walk through the door by now. It is just a regular neighborhood spot where you can come in, get your hair sorted, and go back to your day. Nothing fancy, just a local shop in a quiet corner of the block. We try to keep the place tidy but it’s a busy workspace. That is basically what we are about here.
