Started the shop at D-38 in Acharya Niketan a few years back. It’s right there in Mayur Vihar Phase 1, specifically shop number 6a. Most people around here know where we are. It’s a small space but we keep it tidy. Sometimes the street outside gets really noisy with all the rickshaws and people heading to the market nearby. We open up early and usually stay until the last customer is done. It isn't fancy like those big chains you see in malls. Just a regular place where you can get things done without a fuss. We have a few chairs and the mirrors are usually clean, though the floor gets covered in bits of hair and stuff quickly when we’re busy. The neighbors are nice, mostly other shop owners. We talk to each other while waiting for customers to walk in. If you are walking down the lane, you’ll see our sign. It’s nothing too bright or flashing. We just do the work. The AC works most of the time, which is good for the Delhi heat. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have a backup generator to keep things moving. It’s just how things go in this part of town. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything. You just walk in and wait your turn. Most of our regulars live just a few blocks away. We know their names and what they usually want. It makes the day go by faster when you're talking to people.
