Delight Foods India

If you head down Parwana Road in Old Brij Puri, you will find us at number 49. Delight Foods India is basically where we manage all our food products and shipments. It’s a busy place with boxes stacked up high against the walls. We handle a lot of dry goods and snacks that go out to different shops. The air always smells a bit like spices or fried snacks depending on what arrived that morning. Old Brij Puri is a tight area, so getting delivery vans in and out of Parwana Road can be a real struggle sometimes. We spend a lot of time checking expiry dates and making sure the packaging isn't torn. It isn't a place for people to sit down and eat, it is more of a hub for moving stuff. I have a small wooden desk in the corner where I keep the ledger. My family has been involved in the food trade for a long time. We know which suppliers are reliable and which ones aren't. Sometimes things get delayed because of the traffic or weather, and we have to explain that to the customers. It is just a lot of manual work, lifting crates and counting bags. We don't use any high-tech systems, just our eyes and a pen. It gets hot in the summer because the fans don't do much in a room full of stock. We just keep moving and get the work done.
