Candy Treats

Our shop is down in the basement of Plot 55 in Patparganj Industrial Area. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking for it. The stairs are a bit narrow and steep. We do all our work down here. It stays a bit cooler in the summer since we are below ground, which helps with the treats. We make all sorts of sweets. It’s a busy little space. There’s always someone stirring something or packing boxes. Patparganj is always full of noise and people moving stuff around. We’ve been in this basement for years. It’s our spot. We have a small desk for the paperwork, but mostly it’s tables for the candy. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of supplies delivered. We don't have big signs outside. People who need us usually know where to go. We keep the lights bright since there aren't many windows. It’s a practical way to work. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. We just make sure the candy is good and the orders get out on time. The floor is concrete and we wear aprons all day. It’s a lot of manual work. Sometimes we listen to the radio while we pack. It helps the day go by faster. We are just a small team down here and we get it done. No one complains much as long as the work is steady.
