Big Apple

If you find yourself in Durga Puri, you’ll probably pass by Gali Number 9 where we are set up. Big Apple is just a small local business tucked away at 1449 M-19. It’s not a huge office or anything, just a workspace where we get our daily tasks done. The street outside is usually full of bikes and people walking to the local market. We’ve been in this part of Delhi for a good bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The space inside is a bit cramped with all the desks and papers, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent handling orders and talking to people who drop by. We don’t have any fancy signs or big advertisements. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they live just a few streets away. It’s a humble setup, nothing polished or corporate. We just show up in the morning, open the shutters, and start the day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, which is just part of living in this area. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to run a decent business and pay the bills. It gets dusty being so close to the road, so there’s a lot of cleaning involved every single morning. That’s just how life goes for us here in Durga Puri.
