Our shop, Akkis Kashmir Fashion, is located at No. 2/62 East Azad Nagar. It's a standard storefront in a residential and commercial mix of a neighborhood. We deal with various types of clothing and accessories. The name reflects what we do, though we aren't big on advertising. Most days involve unpacking boxes and hanging up new items. East Azad Nagar is a lively place to be. We have a lot of locals who stop by just to see what’s new on the racks. It’s not a high-end boutique with fancy carpets and bright lights. It’s just a place to buy clothes. We handle the sales and the cleaning ourselves. Sometimes the shop feels too small for all the stock we have, but we find places for everything eventually. We’ve been at No. 2/62 for a good amount of time. People know us as the local spot for these kinds of items. We don't have a website or a big social media presence. We just open the doors and talk to the people who walk in. It’s a regular life here. We work hard to keep the shelves full and the shop tidy. It’s just us, doing our thing in East Azad Nagar. Every season brings different styles, so the look of the shop changes a bit, but the location stays the same. We just keep working and dealing with the daily shop life.
