Asst Manager

Our office is located at B 246 in New Ashok Nagar which is a pretty crowded part of New Delhi. Being an assistant manager in this area means you have to be ready for anything. The streets are narrow and there is always something going on outside. The building itself is just a standard place where we get our work done. I usually get in early to beat the worst of the Delhi heat and the metro crowds. Inside, it is mostly about managing the daily flow of papers and answering calls. We don't have any fancy decorations or marketing slogans on the walls. It is just a workspace with some desks and a computer that sometimes runs a bit slow. New Ashok Nagar has its own vibe and you get used to the noise of the bikes and the vendors. My job is to keep things organized so nothing falls through the cracks. It is a lot of checking lists and talking to people. Sometimes it feels like there are not enough hours in the day but we manage. The 110096 area is quite busy and we are right in the middle of it. We don't try to be anything we are not. It is just a place where work happens and we try to do it right. People come and go and the coffee is usually okay if you make it yourself. That is pretty much how things are for us here.
