We are located at No. 75 in Rani Garden, which is part of the larger Laxmi Nagar area. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren’t used to the lanes, but we like the quiet compared to the main road. Khichar Consultancy Services is really just a small group of us working out of this ground floor space. We deal with a lot of documents and people looking for advice on different things. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving. We’ve got shelves full of folders that we’ve organized over the years. Some people think consultancy means big suits, but we’re usually just in shirts and trousers, trying to solve problems. The neighbors know us well since we’ve been at this address for a long time. There is a small tea stall just a few steps away where we usually take our breaks. It gets busy during tax season or when there are a lot of applications to process. We try to keep things simple and honest with everyone who walks through the door. Sometimes the internet acts up, or the printer jams, but that’s just how it goes in a real office. We don’t use much jargon; we just explain things as they are. It’s a steady rhythm of work that we’ve grown used to. Most evenings, we finish up and walk out into the cooling air of the Rani Garden streets.
