Arun Kumar

I’m currently based over in Mayur Vihar Phase 3, staying at Biju’s place in Pocket B3. New Delhi is a crowded place, and this area is no different. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you don’t know where you’re going. I’ve been working out of this spot for a bit now, just trying to keep things moving forward. It’s not a big commercial space or anything. It’s just a room where I can sit down and focus. The neighborhood is pretty lively, especially in the evenings when everyone gets back from work. You can hear kids playing and people shouting across the balconies. Sometimes the power goes out, or the internet acts up, but that’s just life in Delhi. I didn't have much of a plan when I started Arun Kumar as a name for what I'm doing. It just felt like the right time to stop working for other people and try my own thing. My desk is usually covered in old tea cups and notes I’ve scribbled to myself. It's a bit chaotic, but I know where everything is. Getting supplies can be a chore with the traffic on the main road, so I usually walk whenever I can. It’s a simple life here in Phase 3. No big meetings or fancy suits. Just waking up and getting the work done before the sun goes down and the mosquitoes come out.
