We are located at G-5 in Vardhaman Plaza, right in Mayur Vihar Phase 2. If you know where Pocket B is, we are just a short walk away from there. The shop itself isn't very large, but we managed to fit in four good chairs and some big mirrors that cover most of the wall space. Usually, there is some news or a movie playing on the small television we kept up near the ceiling to keep people occupied. It’s a typical local spot where men from the nearby flats come in for a quick haircut or a shave before they head off to work in the morning. We try to keep the floor as clean as we can, but on Saturdays, it gets really busy and the hair piles up faster than we can sweep it into the corner. The smell of talcum powder and cheap shaving cream is always hanging in the air here. We don't have any of those expensive spa treatments or face masks you see in the malls. It is just straight razors, scissors, and plastic combs. Sometimes the water heater takes a few minutes to start up in the winter, so we tell people to wait a bit or have some tea. People sit on the bench outside when the chairs inside are full, just chatting about the weather or looking at their phones. It’s a simple routine we have here in Delhi, nothing more than a neighborhood place to get tidied up.
