Our warehouse is located at X/119 in Tagore Gali. Gandhi Nagar is always packed with people and carts, so getting here can be a struggle. Agrimma-A Frozen Food Company Private Limited is all about the freezers. We spend a lot of time in heavy jackets even when it is boiling outside. It is a strange way to work, moving between the cold rooms and the hot street. We handle all sorts of frozen items, keeping them at the right temperature so nothing spoils. The freezers hum all day and night. It’s a constant sound that you eventually stop hearing. We have a few delivery vans that navigate the tight lanes of the Gali. Loading them is a bit of a puzzle every morning. We don’t have a fancy office space; it’s mostly just space for the stock. We keep records in old ledgers and on an old computer. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows everyone’s business. We have tea from the stall at the corner twice a day. The food business is tough because you have to be fast. If a freezer breaks, we have a real problem on our hands. Luckily, we know a good repairman nearby. We just keep our heads down and keep the food frozen. It is hard work but someone has to do it. The neighborhood is loud but it feels like home.
