If you take the train to Agarpara, you’ll find us on North Station Road. Bcrec is located right there, near the station in Kolkata 109. You can hear the trains whistling all day long, and the platform announcements sometimes drift into the office. It’s a very busy street. There are always people rushing to catch the next local train. Our building is right in the thick of it. The stairs are a bit narrow and steep, so you have to be careful coming up. Inside, it’s a bit chaotic with all the noise from the street, but we’re used to it by now. We handle a lot of technical stuff and some administrative tasks. There’s a lot of dust that comes in from the road, so we’re always wiping down the monitors. We don’t have a fancy break room. We usually just grab a snack from the vendors outside the station. The tea there is better than anything we could make in the office anyway. Kolkata is a city that never really stops moving, and Agarpara is no different. We’ve got a couple of old fans that rattle when they're on high speed. We keep the books and manage the operations for Bcrec from this little spot. It’s not a grand office, but it’s where we get things done. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just come in, do the work, and go back home on the same trains we hear all day long.
