Sri Manonmani & Co.

Our office is located at 102, Matha Bhuvaneswari Nagar, right on the 1st Street in the Ramar Pillai Thoppu area. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s fairly quiet compared to the main Sandai Road. We’ve been running Sri Manonmani & Co. from this building for a long time. It’s basically a converted house, which makes it feel a bit more comfortable than a cold office block. We have a few rooms dedicated to our work, filled with supplies and old records. The neighbors all know us, and we see the same faces walking their dogs or going to the shops every morning. Our daily routine is pretty set. We start early, check the mail, and get to work on the orders. There’s no big corporate hierarchy here; we all just pitch in where needed. If a delivery arrives, whoever is free goes to help unload it. The space is a bit cramped sometimes because we have a lot of stuff packed in, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a website or a fancy logo on the wall. We just have our name on a small board outside. It’s a practical way to work, staying close to the community and keeping our overheads low. Sometimes we sit out on the steps during the break just to catch a bit of a breeze and chat before getting back inside to finish the work.
