Sulthan Building Materials

We are based out of the first floor at 202L on 9th Cross. It’s right in the middle of R M Colony. It’s a quiet enough street most days, though the delivery trucks can make it a bit tight when they try to turn the corner. Sulthan Building Materials has been operating from this spot for a while. It’s not a huge warehouse, just an office where we coordinate everything. We spend a lot of time on our phones talking to suppliers and checking on where the cement or bricks are. Sometimes things get delayed and we have to explain that to folks, which isn't always fun. But that’s the building trade for you. We keep a lot of ledgers and notebooks around because sometimes the computer is too slow or acts up. My cousin helps me out with the paperwork most afternoons. We don't really do much advertising; most people just hear about us from their neighbors in the colony or from contractors we’ve known for years. It’s a simple setup. We have a couple of chairs for visitors and a very old fan that makes a clicking noise. We keep meaning to fix it but never get around to it. R M Colony is a nice place to work from. There’s a bakery nearby that we go to for snacks. We just try to stay honest and get the materials delivered on time. It's a living and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
