Sri Kumaran Traders

Our shop, Sri Kumaran Traders, is at number 22 in Vadamadurai. It’s a quiet enough place compared to the big cities. We’ve been here for a while, dealing with the local needs of the people in this area. It’s a small operation, mostly just me and a cousin helping out when things get busy. We don’t have a fancy storefront or big glass windows. It’s just a plain building where we keep our stock. Most of what we do involves buying and selling local produce and some general goods. The floor is concrete and the shelves are made of wood we put up ourselves years ago. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. People just know we are here at 22, Vadamadurai. Sometimes we have to travel a bit to get the supplies we need, which means the shop stays closed for a half-day. We just put a sign on the door when that happens. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it has worked for us so far. We know our customers and they know us. There’s no need for anything more complicated than that. We spend our days checking the bags, weighing things out, and making sure the accounts are mostly correct at the end of the month. It's honest work and it keeps us going in this small town.
