Ktv Bricks

We are right here on Vedasandur Road in Vellampatti. It gets pretty dusty out this way, especially when the wind picks up across the open land. Ktv Bricks isn't a fancy place with a big lobby or anything like that. It's just a yard where we spend most of our time getting things ready. The sun hits the ground hard in the afternoon, so we usually try to get the heavy moving done early. You’ll see the stacks of red bricks from the road as you drive toward Vellampatti. Sometimes the lorries struggle a bit with the turn into our gate because of the narrow stretch, but we manage. My hands are usually stained with red clay by ten in the morning. That’s just how it goes when you work with these materials every day. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Most people around here know where we are because of the tall chimney. It’s a lot of work, keeping the kiln at the right temperature and making sure the drying area stays clear. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few local guys who know the routine. We talk about the weather a lot because it really dictates what we can get done in a week. If it rains, everything slows down and we just wait it out. When it's dry, we're moving as fast as we can to keep up with the orders coming in from the nearby villages.
