Thangapara Farmers Producer Company Limited is a group we started right here in Jalalpur. Our main point of contact is Shakti Nath Sarkar at house number 02. Dakshindinajpur is a place where most people know each other, especially the ones who spend their days in the fields. We got tired of trying to manage everything individually, so we put our names together to form this company. We are based right in the village, so there is no big office building or anything like that. We usually meet up at Shakti’s place to discuss what we are going to do for the next season. It's mostly about making sure we can get the equipment or the supplies we need without paying too much. The roads in Jalalpur can be a bit rough during the monsoon, but we manage to get things moved around. We don't have a marketing team or people in suits. We are just farmers who know how hard it is to make a living from the land. Sometimes we have to spend hours just sorting out the government paperwork, which none of us really likes.
