Bamongola Mahila Samridhi Producer

Our group is called Bamongola Mahila Samridhi Producer and we are right in Maheshpur village. This is in the Bamongola block of Malda district. We are a group of women who decided to get together and do something for ourselves. Life in Malda revolves a lot around the seasons and what is growing in the fields. We spent a long time just working in our own homes or small plots before we decided to form this company. It wasn't easy to get started, but we have a good group of people here. We meet up at our place in Maheshpur to talk about the work and how to manage the money. It’s not a fancy setup, just a room where we can sit and plan. We deal with whatever crops are in season and try to make sure every woman involved gets her fair share of the work and the rewards. Sometimes the kids are running around while we work, but that’s just how it is here. We don't use big words or have complicated rules. We just want to make our lives a bit better through farming and selling what we grow. People in the village know us, and we know them. It’s about helping our families and making sure our community stays strong. We just take it one day at a time and see how things go with the next harvest.
