Gangarampur Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are located at Plot No. 524 in the village of Tholahar, near the Chacra post office. This is in the Gangarampur area of South Dinajpur. We run a farmers producer company here, which keeps us pretty busy throughout the year. The office is a simple one-story building right near the fields. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We have mud on our boots half the time and there is always dust on the desks. We spend our mornings going over the accounts and talking to the local growers about what they need for the next season. The village is quiet, which is nice, but it means we have to work hard to stay connected with the bigger markets. We don't have any polished brochures or a big team of salesmen. It’s just a few of us who live right here in the area. We know the soil in South Dinajpur and we know how hard the farmers work. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish the paperwork, especially during the peak harvest times. We just sit under the tube light and get through it. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We don't try to be anything special, just a local group doing our part in the village.
