Parjanya B Ed College

Parjanya B Ed College is located in Baliapur, which is on the outskirts of Dhanbad. This is not a school for young children; instead, we have adults here who are training to become teachers themselves. The atmosphere is a bit more serious than a primary school, but it still has that local, slightly worn-in feel. Baliapur is a bit away from the main hustle of Dhanbad city, so it is relatively peaceful, though you still get the dust and the heat of the region. The college building is a simple structure with lecture halls and a few small offices for the staff. We have a library that is stuffed with old books and some newer ones for the B.Ed syllabus. The furniture is functional and nothing more—mostly wooden chairs and tables that have seen better days. We spend our time going through lessons on how to teach and managing the various requirements of the course. It is a practical place for people in the Dhanbad area who want to get their qualifications without traveling too far. There is a small canteen where students sit and talk between their sessions. It is a very straightforward institution with no real frills. We do not have a big marketing budget or a polished campus, just the essentials for learning the trade of teaching. It is just a part of the local landscape in Baliapur, doing its job quietly every day for the students who come through.
