Koyalanchal Institute Of Technology is based near the Dhaiya Flour Mill. We are in the I.S.M.Dhaiya area of Dhanbad - 826001. You can usually smell the grain from the mill when the wind blows the right way. It’s a working-class part of town. We fit right in. Our office isn't anything to brag about. We have some old computers and a lot of filing cabinets. The floor is concrete. It’s easy to clean. People come here because they know where we are. We've been by the flour mill for years. Everyone in I.S.M.Dhaiya knows the spot. We start our day early. Usually, the sun is just coming up when we unlock the front gate. We spend most of the day answering questions or filling out forms. It’s regular work. We don't have any fancy slogans. Koyalanchal Institute Of Technology is just the name on the sign. We try to keep things running smoothly. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just wait for it to come back. We have a few plants in pots near the entrance. They don't get much water but they stay green. It's a busy street. Lots of people going to the mill or the university nearby. We watch the world go by from our window. It’s a good place to be. Dhanbad is a tough city, but it's ours. We just keep working and providing a place for people to come.
