Happy Child Nursery

Happy Child Nursery is located on Polytechnic Road in Dhanbad. It is a busy street with a lot of traffic, but once you step inside Krishna Kunj, it gets a little bit quieter. We started this place because there were so many young families moving into this part of the city. It is not a massive school or anything like that. We just have a few rooms filled with toys, small chairs, and some colorful rugs on the floor. The walls have some bright paint, though you can see where it is peeling a bit in the corners. We spend our days looking after the little ones and making sure they stay out of trouble. There is almost always someone crying or laughing, which is just how it goes when you work with toddlers. We do a lot of coloring and sing simple songs to keep them occupied. It is mostly about getting them used to being away from their parents for a few hours. Most of the families live in the nearby blocks, so we know them all pretty well. It is a noisy and happy kind of mess most of the time. We have a small outdoor area, but since the city traffic is right outside, we keep the gates locked tight at all times. Lunchtime is always a bit of a struggle with spills, but we just clean it up and keep going. It is an honest living.
