Ganpati Bricks Induestries

Our place is Ganpati Bricks Induestries and we are out in Daya Danseahar. It is near the Shiv Mandir in the area they call Taluka Copesancsi. The post office is Drasanandiha. Being near the temple is nice because we can hear the bells and the prayers in the morning. It is a very rural area and things move pretty slowly around here. The kiln has been here for some time and the chimney sticks up high so you can see it from the main road. We use the local earth and it makes a specific kind of red brick. Most of the work is done by hand and we spend a lot of time out in the sun. The rain is our biggest problem because it turns everything into a big mess of mud and we have to cover the bricks with plastic sheets. It gets quiet at night but during the day there is always someone moving around. We have a small shed where we keep our tools and a few benches. Sometimes the cows from the nearby farms wander too close to the stacks and we have to shoo them away. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that. It is just a work site with a lot of dust and hard labor. People from the surrounding villages know us by name. We just do our work and go home when the sun goes down.
